Hi
Seems that I've a hole in my head...
I'm searching the formula (Lisp) to calculate the end tangent of an arc:
Given:
start tangent, arc length and radius
(http://www.theswamp.org/screens/JuergMenzi/Azimut.jpg)
?... :ugly:
-
if
start tangent = st
arc length = l
arc radius - r
isn't it :
(- st (/ l r)) ?
-
if
start tangent = st
arc length = l
arc radius - r
isn't it :
(- st (/ l r)) ?
Yes, In Radians

You've saved my day... thanks guys! :-)

I could have sworn that Luis had posted in this thread.
Was I seeing things? :-o I'm still fighting the flu so I may have been hallucinating.
I was coming back to check out the link when I had some time
and poof, like magic it's gone. :-(

You're right CAB, there was a post from Luis...
-
Yes... and I removed... because I did not provide the answer.... and it was just occupying space....
:-D
Sorry...
-
Luis....
Consider this: although your post did not supply the answer to the particular problem, it migh just be the solution to another problem that another Swamper has been beating his/her head against the wall to solve. Don't be afraid to leave "wrong answers" here....in the long run, it may very well be the "right answer" for someone else.
Hope you understand that I'm only trying to help... ^-^
