Restart AutoCAD?

Object Enablers? Improper file conversion? One file? All files?
-
Is it only one file?
Can you Select from one file and Rt-Click drag the objects into another tiled drawing window?
Is it text or drawing objects that won't copy and paste?
Is the Rt-Click menu option missing?
Does using the keyboard shortcuts work?
Are you stuck in REFEDIT mode?
-
Is it turned on?? Plugged in??

"I know all this stuff" is open to interpretation, very hard to determine what you've actually tried.

Hotfix - Cut and Paste
acdb17.dll (dll - 8642Kb)
Readme (htm - 9Kb)
This hotfix will correct a problem where cut and paste, copy and paste, block and insert, wblock and insert, and drag and drop operations fail in drawings that are saved in AutoCAD® 2000 and AutoCAD® Release 14 file formats.
If you open or create a file in AutoCAD 2007 and save it in AutoCAD 2000 or AutoCAD Release 14 file formats and then open the drawing in AutoCAD 2000, 2000i, 2002 or AutoCAD Release 14 and attempt to cut and paste, copy and paste, block and insert, wblock and insert, or drag and drop objects, then these operations will fail.

One possibility that I haven't seen mentioned, which always seems to happen every three years around this time of year is:
If you have upgraded to AutoCAD 2013, you cannot copy from AutoCAD 2013 to an older version of AutoCAD, due to the new file format.
