COM object
« on: April 18, 2006, 09:04:56 AM »
Hi All,

Does anyone know if a arx COM object exists or can be created to allow all the brep and associated libraries that can traverse the innards of a 3D solid and make their properties, methods, etc. available to VB?

I am a cabinetmaker with my own software package. I have been doing some VB programming for about a year. If I could get access to properties, objects, methods, etc. it could make some things easier on me.

Hi David,
no sorry, the brep library is not available through COM as far as I'm aware. To make it available you would have to write the COM interface yourself, not much fun though :)
I'm not sure about 2007 but they may have wrapped the brep lib for .net, someone with the sdk could probably tell you.
