Does anyone know how I can open these files in AutoCAD?

I recieved a bundle from an architect and can't open them.
Am I right in assuming they are Microstation files?

Rather than DXF, if she's running V8 she can just saveas DWG.

I wouldn't miss Mark's great offer if I had to send for a bicycle delivery boy to get a CD out to Mark! And you're even closer to him than I am :)

As CADaver said, find someone who runs V8 and have them save as DWG. Just make sure they know what they are doing. Get a sample before doing the batch.
I had an engineering firm delivering DWG's from DGN files and they all contained blocks (layout blocks) that rendered them useless until removed. Result: a month worth of work.

There are issues with that feature of Microstation. It turns on all the layers and other stuff when you open it in acad.

As Seven has stated, It is not a simple "saveas" feature in V8...
it can be a big can of worms...

Gee, you guys take the fun outta everything...

No, really, they're right.  The MSTA to ACAD exchange is not nearly as smooth as the Bentley ads would have you believe.  Though V8 makes it a little easier that before it can still "be a big can of worms".  But then the DXF exchange between the two can be a little wriggley as well.

If as I sometimes do, you just need to view or hardcopy, you can download a viewer from Bentley.

If you have, or know someone with Autocad MAP you can convert them.
