We are thinking of upgrading our AutoCAD 2000i. I was curious as to if we should go with 2002 or 2004. I know that since we're upgrading, why not get the newest one out there, but are there things that you like in 2002 better than 2004? Thanx

really, at this point you might just hang out for a few more months and see how 2005 pan's out.. then if all seems good, just go to the latest

Personally, I have an aversion to paying 3K +/- to be some companys beta tester. Got stung with R13 and have been shy of the "new & improved" routine since. Thanks but I'll wait to see what blows up 'fore I stick my head in THAT door again....

I've tested everything since 2000. I hope I'm the first to test 2005, here. Usually am.

Looks like Autodesk has a run on it's versioning. We had A2k in 1999 A2ki in 2000, A2k2 in 2002, A2k4 in 2003, and Finally A2k5 in 2004. Maybe we will have a new release each year from now on. Pretty soon we will be using "AutoCAD 1Million" When will the insanity ever stop!!!
