profile reverting to vanilla
« on: March 15, 2006, 02:12:03 PM »
i had to install a copy of inventor and configure mdt 2006 for one of our engineers. it went ok but when i closed and reopened mdt it reverted back to vanilla profile not the one i created. my boss recalls this to be a bug and told me to find the vanilla.arg and overwrite it with mine but this doesn't work. can anyone help me out?

If you use the icon shortcut to open the software, attach
 /p "<Profile name>"
to the end of the target path.

You on a network?

Might be picking the profile up from somewhere else.

i tried applying  a startup switch but it does nothing. they are on a seperate network from me and i'm not really sure how it's setup our it dept is insane. what i did which isn't really a permenant fix is i used a lisp that saves and loads support paths. so i saved them from mine then i switched to the vanilla and loaded then exported the vanilla. they dont really use autocad that much and when they do it's minimal.
