Try rebooting your machine or clearing out the video cards memory. I have found that when this happens to me, I have overloaded the video memory.

to resolved the problem...
i need to close AutoCAD and reopen it twice..

But don't think was the memory...because this happen often the first time
I open AutoCAD and use VLIDE command.

When you open Autocad, do a Zoom from the commandLine before you open the IDE.
kdub, kdub_nz in other timelines.
Perfection is not optional.
Everything will work just as you expect it to, unless your expectations are incorrect.

This 'feature' is available since the combination A2k/Win2k.
It never happens under A2k/WinNT.
Autodesk never solved this BUG. Lazy as always...

I'm using AutoCAD 2006 on Windows XP and I get this lost icon error every now and then.
I just restart AutoCAD and say out load three times bad computer.....
