Tool Palettes Settings

Is there a setting that you can use to lock the Tool Palettes to not allow users to edit them?

Thank you,

Brad

Our tool palettes are located on a secure are on the server. Only 2 people have write access to this area
Thanks for explaining the word "many" to me, it means a lot.

Would that cause me not to be able to create a new Tool Palette and add new tools to it?

Thank you,

I hope so! Thats why I set ours up that way.

The user could change the search path for the tool pallettes, but the original ones should (I hope) stay in tact.

I do the same. The main tool palettes are located on a server drive, with the folder permissions set so that only a SELECT few have write access to the palettes folder.
An easy way to know if the palettes are locked, is to look in the bottom left of the tool palettes window. If there is a little padlock symbol, then the palette is locked.
