How can I keep the rendering status during zoom in/out?
« on: October 28, 2010, 02:23:53 AM »
The rendering is a snapshot,I rendering some 3dsolid(box,sphere etc.) with material and light in model space, but when I zoom in or zoom out ,the rendering was lost.
Can I keep the rendering status using objectARX?

if you're trying to use a fully rendered image, I think you're out of luck, however depending on what effect you want to achieve and whether you have control of the zoom mechanism (which I think is technically possible, not tried it), it may be possible to either :

1) use a visual style
or
2) take a screenshot of the image, then add it to the drawing as an attached image

screenshotting and attaching might be the best option, but you'd probably need to hook into AcEditorReactor::commandWillStart() and commandEnded() to monitor for the zoom command set up and remove your image.

not tried anything like it myself, so this is all pure conjecture ;)
