Fields, Blocks, and 2006
« on: October 11, 2005, 10:09:32 AM »
Has anybody else noticed your fields not updating in your blocks on a 2006 dwg?

I put a date field in a block for my titleblock so that when it gets printed the date updates and we know which is more current.  The problem is the date is not updating.  All the settings are checked for the updating of the fields.

Anybody else have any weirdness on their end?

YES!! i am having the same problem with the fields in my title blocks, theyre not updating when i do a publish or plot, thus all drawings come out with the same value...

worked fine in 2005, when we upgraded to 2006 the problems started

I got mine to work.  It seems I was using the wrong field.  I believe not all fields will update.  I had to change mine 'time and date' field to one that would update.  I don't remember which one but once I changed it it worked fine.

I have the same problem and it also occured in 2005.
So I just modified my plot command and added the "_.UpdateField"
commant to it. Now when ever I plot the fields are updated as well as other nice customizations.
I now its not what you looking for but it is a band aid for a problem.
