Just thought I'd ask before I roll my own, anyone got one of these? Some place where I can start, take a look at what params I need.

Microstation has a Batch Plot Utiliity built into it.

I have Mickeystation V8 2004 and it is located under the File pulldown "Batch Print".

over here we don't use the batch plot utility (things come out looking less than ultra pretty)

if you have a single print macro (how pretty does your stuff need to be)

you can write a simple *.bas to do stuff

open this file
run this macro
open this file
run this macro

and once you figure that out you could get something like excel and vba to put it together from drawing names/project etc...(or that's what i do anyway)

It seems to me that if the batch plot is giving results other than what would be expected from a single plot, the problem may well be with the design file, not the plot utility.

well now that i actually look at it (i've always gone off what the 'experienced' people told me when it came to microstation) yeah that makes sense, i was always told there was some problem with the printing area something about it enjoying extents too much... first thing we always learn, always look for yourself... i should've done that.

however my little excel funness takes a report from our drawing index and figures out which drawings need to be included....this is alittle nicer than having to find them through dialog boxes (when you get to 300-600 drawings), also we do a few other things with the drawing prior to plotting that are only temp(not just a fancy stamp).
