I just got an e-mail from Autodesk telling me that all of my peers are switching to Inventor.  You guys didn't tell me anything about it!

What gives?!

i have been fooling around with it a bit actually. sometimes i'm able to work with it and other times when i go to create a part it totally crashes. o yeah autodesk makes it  :lol:

It's "OK" but for us to convert to parametric would be a major PITA.  We use too much legacy stuff for new projects.  We would have to re-invent out entire library (over 6000 parts drawn in 3D) and start from scratch on all ensuing projects.  I'm gettin too old for that s**t.  Right now I've got a very good system for 3D modeling in vanilla CAD....if it works, don't fix it............
