X-refs acting weird
« on: August 03, 2005, 12:03:34 PM »
I have another problem with x-refs. I just set up four drawings and all have three x-refs in the drawing. I checked all the x-ref paths about 20 minutes ago and all paths were relative. I went back to each drawing and the paths have changed to full path. The strange thing about it is that I never closed the drawings....what is going on? HELP

Thanks

Maybe it's showing the path, but it's still relative. It's been a long time since I used xref's, but I think I remember something about that before.

If your 4 drawings are new ie have not been saved yet, or weren't at the time the xrefs were attached, AutoCAD can't assign a relative path and will then assign the full path.

The drawings had already been saved and were a couple of days old.
