Dialog box for OPEN not showing - FILEDIA=1
« on: May 18, 2023, 09:12:04 AM »
After a quick search, I did not find a current post on this.

AutoCAD 2022 - after running a script where I set FILEDIA=0, did my thing, and set FILEDIA=1, the dialog box does not show up.  Checking FILEDIA at the command line shows = 1.
Hitting the ' ~ ' at command prompt does not bring up the box either.  Has anyone else had this happen?  The only way to get the dialog box back is to quit AutoCAD and re-open.

I have found and I don't know why sometimes the CMDDIA gets flipped to 0 also.

yeah, my script sets and un-sets that one as well.  Both are set to 1, and the file box wont open.  Not the end of the world, but annoying

Does changing the "expert" sysvar help David. I doubt it but maybe.

Of all things, it was because I needed to set my file type as ACAD2013
As soon as I set back to 2018, problem went away
