adding a "property set" data to civil 3d table
« on: November 13, 2019, 03:40:59 PM »
I am trying to use a "property set" in a civil 3d table, the property set tab appears in label style text components editor but it is not showing in the table column text component editor. Does anyone know what the issue is, did autodesk only provide the property set connectivity to label styles or I am just missing a workflow step?

Thanks

Appears to be an oversight that the tab is missing.

You can manually create ib by typing it in <[PS:"Name of Property Set":"Name of Custom Property"]> or just copy the text from a label.
I have attached a pipe and table with the property set definition in the table
The drawing has a Property set definition called PSD
It has a Custom Property called CP
I wanted the info in uppercase CU
So I added <[PS:PSD:CP(CU)]>

Thanks Rod for sharing! Really helpful! :-)

I have gotten this to work in a drawing where the styles all reside in the same drawing.

However, have any of you tried setting this up in a reference template and then using this setup in another drawing with the template referenced in to it?  The property sets and styles come through and the label styles work fine, but the table style, while being coded correctly, will not show the correct data until I edit the table style, in which case I select the option to use the revised table in the current cad session only.  Then the table populates the data with the property set information.  When I close and re-open the drawing though, the table data goes away, only showing question marks.  The table style looks correct though.  Using Civil 3D 2021.

Are you using a schedule table or a civil table?
Is it all tables or just for a particular object?
Can you post the drawing?
