multiple publish
« on: November 03, 2020, 06:38:55 PM »
Anyone ever put in a feature addition request to be able to publish multiple sizes / types at once?  11x17 pdf, 24x36 pdf, 11x17 dwf... etc?

I feel like it's basic and maybe I'm missing something

This is already possible by using page set ups.

I was thinking page setups only works on one set at a time. Like I can't simultaneously send pdf and a dwf. Am I wrong?

You are wrong and obviously haven't taken the time to explore my response or the options available in the publish dialog.

I think the key word here is 'simultaneous' AFAIK it can't be done out of the box other than opening up multiple sessions of AutoCAD and printing at the same time.

It's possible to add multiple drawings into a publish.

Presumably (I've not tried this but imagine it would work), one could add DrawingA.dwg and set Tab1 to print with PageSetupX, then again add DrawingA.dwg, but this time set Tab1 to print with PageSetupY?

That would probably work, but would end up with individual PDF and DWF files.  that's something I rarely need. (when I do, it's simpler to create the multisheet PDF, and export the pages to an empty folder.)

That's not a bad idea either Daniel. If it's not already an option autodesk could allow us to copy rows this could be done quickly. Think that would be easy to implement. Combining them at the end isn't too difficult.
