Question: 2 different cities share GIS information, but use their own version of the state plane coordinate systems (they customized it for themselves).

Each cities show property lines for the same lot. 

Why is it one city says that lot line is 110' long while the other city says it's only 100' long.  It's not like a yard grows and shrinks by 10-ft.

Not a guru but Ii is not unusual to have different distances between the same two points for two different coordinate systems.
However the distance is usually minimal if the points are within the area the coorindate systems are designed for.

Does the adjacent lot also have an error? Look for nearby points in roughly the same direction?

Could it be a typo or some other error?
