OLE PLOT
« on: September 25, 2019, 06:02:15 PM »
Hi all,

I have been struggling for the past 3 hours to print EXCEL tables right-side-up. On plot preview they look fine. But, I have some dwg's from 2006 that have OLE excel tables inserted. However, they print upside down. I have changed orientation, plot upside down, different plotter. NADA.

I have EXL2CAD from Terry, but the original excel files were deleted/removed/or the consultant never gave them to us when the wiring was done...so maybe OCR? ugh.

So, what to do...I don't want to recreate this table, it's about 150 records long.

TIA

Rob...

This reminds me of one of the strangest things I've seen with OLE Excel tables when it came to printing them. I had to change the screen resolution for it to print correctly. And it was repeatable.

It’s a known - highly annoying - counter intuitive - bug.

“What the frac, my tables are plotting upside down!”

“Oh yeah, you need to drop your raster dpi.”

I know this is a lame work-around, FWIW, all I did was create a brand new 2018 dwg. I copied all the entities from the original 2006 file(OLE, POLYLINES, ETC.) and pasted into the new dwg which is 2018. Worked like a charm!

Still, Autocad should have come up with something by now...
