True Color - Line weights.

(1/1)

MSTG007:
Gotta question for you. I typically use a grey scale CTB file. I changed a layer from the "RED" Color 1 to True Color. When I plot to a PDF there is really no line weight objects on that layer. Do I need to set a line weight on that layer to get it to plot out thicker?
Thanks for direction.

dgorsman:
That will only work if you set up the CTB to use line weights, or if you switch to STB.  I've done both, and they work, but require a little more attention to detail i.e. ensuring objects are line weight BYLAYER, automation of layer settings includes line weight, and so on.

cadtag:
If using a CTB file to plot, and implementing TRue Colors, the plot will ignore any lineweights assigned in the CTB when processing TRue color objects.  You can either set a lineweight by layer properties, or by entity properties.  If you don't the plotted output will display all true color entities using the default penweight.

(or cheat with Plines and defined widths....)
