Wipeout - Color

This might be a totally dumb question or on my part for the way it is setup.

I was wondering if you can change the background color of a wipeout? I am messing around with using true colors on an exhibit. The text and border is black. The AutoCAD Background color is black. I can not see the text what so ever.

Fix is to change the autocad background to another color like gray. But I know some users hate to change their background color.

So I figured id ask the dumb question. I think the answer is no.

maybe stack a solid object with a color
on top of the wipeout and then your text objects...painful I know

Because The wipeout isn't really using the background property,
or many image properties at all

No, well not directly, the wipeout is intended to "match the background", not provide custom colors

You'll follow the same process as a wipeout by creating a polyline but you'll apply a solid hatch of your desired color.

heres an off question about that with Hatches. If you use a hatch as a wipeout. Anyway when a user tries to double click in the area of where test is on top of the hatch, that it does not select the hatch (and open up the hatch contextual ribbon) lol.

I think one of the pickstyle options might prevent that

0
No group selection or associative hatch selection
1
Group selection
2
Associative hatch selection
3
Group selection and associative hatch selection

As long as the hatch is 'associative'
