Anybody know if it's possible to access the Fabrication API in the Autocad Core Console?

Check if there's a CRX.  If there's only an ARX, probably not.
If you are going to fly by the seat of your pants, expect friction burns.

try {GreatPower;}
   catch (notResponsible)
      {NextTime(PlanAhead);}
   finally
      {MasterBasics;}

Thanks for the reply.  Looks like it's an ARX and it will try to load but CADmep wants a username and password. So it fails to load when the dialog cant appear.

Will AutoDesk continue it's 'support' of their Fabrication package ??

Sometimes the question is more important than the answer.
