Michael, I'm a fellow cynic, but I'm betting on cold popcorn. I like what I've seen behind the curtain. I believe it's a genuine joining of forces with a substantially shared vision and common goal. I expect some hiccups, but I aim to do whatever I can to keep the train on its track. I think lost and lonely CAD users should rejoice: the savior is born.

Imo, the acquisition removes some risks, such as being litigated out of existence. But adds others, I.e. if the new boss wants a new perpetual revenue stream.. time will tell.
The new big boss is quite the visionary, as was/is erik, imho, overall itís a positive deal

I so hope you're right and seductive overtures mature long into a long beneficial relationship.

I aim to do whatever I can to keep the train on its track.

This alone should give skeptics -- like me -- buoyed hope.

I think lost and lonely CAD users should rejoice: the savior is born.

Given that you've never been one for hyperbole this is an amazing statement!

Thanks for chiming in Owen.

Nodding.

But adds others, i.e. if the new boss wants a new perpetual revenue stream..

One of numerous concerns.

The new big boss is quite the visionary, as was/is erik, imho, overall itís a positive deal

Hope++

Thanks Daniel.

Hello all. I spoke with Rick Allen, Executive VP for Hexagon PPM last week at the conference and I definitely get the feeling that this is going to be good for BricsCAD and its users. I don't have any direct quotes at this time (and quite frankly some of it was off the record anyway), but I'm going to lean towards innocent until proven guilty for now.

Hexagon has been working very closely with Bricsys for nearly two years.

Well that's interesting!

I think it will be very good for Bricsys. Very bad for Autodesk, too.
