AutoCAD 2019 OLE memory leak
« on: October 05, 2018, 02:40:40 PM »
Instead of using pictures for logos I usually copy them in Microsoft Paint then PASTESPECIAL in AutoCAD to embed them because we all have received files with missing references for pics.
Anyways I noticed AutoCAD 2019 would keep increasing memory every time a drawing was open and would not release much or any when I closed the drawing and after a publish or opening numerous drawings memory would start to max out. I submitted a performance test and sent them some drawings and come to find out there is a bug in 2019 where it does not release memory with OLE objects. Not sure if just ones created from paint or all, but thought I would give a heads up in case someone ran into the same issue.

To be more specific
Quote
OLE entities that are contained in xref’ed drawings aren’t freed up properly

Good to know, thanks for sharing  :)
The conclusion is justified that the initialization of the development of critical subsystem optimizes the probability of success to the development of the technical behavior over a given period.
