Autodesk Map - Cookie Cut out from Master Drawing
« on: September 05, 2018, 10:15:44 PM »
Here’s the scenario. I have a large state wide dwg that has interstates, highways, roads, rivers, lakes and towns, etc. All entities are on their corresponding layers. I would like know if MAP can select a county line boundary and clip all information out into its own dwg. County name dwg. I know it sounds simple. However the road lines are from the TIGER GIS and are polylines with object data and property sets.

Can this be done and are the steps simple?

Thanks for a direction.

I thought you can query a connected drawing and bound it by a boundary.

This might be an interesting source to view how it works: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9Sxl1utUIL0

The conclusion is justified that the initialization of the development of critical subsystem optimizes the probability of success to the development of the technical behavior over a given period.

You can

it would need to be

A insert the boundary SHP file as polygon(s)

THEN

Attach drawing with all the other stuff to Display Manager tab
and clip the attached using boundary created by the first operation
Be your Best
