xref'd point table dropping first digit
« on: March 24, 2018, 11:24:38 AM »
Hi, All,

I've created a point table to identify Northing / Easting / and top of concrete elevations in Civil 3D 2017. I want to xref this table into other drawings, but when I do the vaule of the Northing / Easting / TOC changes. Attached is an image of the point table in my "base" file (original table,PNG), how the table appears when xref'd (xref'd table.PNG), and the "base" file itself (Structural_Pile Location POINTS.dwg).

I am stumped! Anyone have any suggestions?

OK - well reviewing my post, it looks like the numbers in the xref'd table are different by a factor of 12. Now I just need to figure out how to xref so that the numbers aren't changed by this factor (my first attempt of changing the UNITS didn't seem to work).

Ok - solved it! In our base file the "Drawing Settings" had Drawing units as Feet. In our xref file our Drawing units were in inches. Updated the Drawing units to feet, Detaching the xref, then reattaching the xref fixed the issue. Now the data shown in the table matches between our base file and all other files!
