Re-hosting multiple Items to a new vertical face
« on: August 18, 2016, 11:39:22 AM »
Does anyone have any tips for re-hosting multiple families to a new vertical face? Our client has decided he wants his outlets on Dado trunking, so the 200 odd face mounted sockets, telephone points and data points which are on a wall now have to be re-hosted to the Dado trunking.
I can pick a new vertical face for a single entity, but when I select more than one, that option vanishes.

I tried doing it in a 3D View and selecting the trunking face, but the families lose their link to the level they are shown on, (it shows total elevation, rather than elevation from the selected level), and thus breaks my scheduling.

Help... :x

With my 9000 face based survey points, I have yet to find a way when the scientists make a change.  :glaresad:

I no longer CAD or Model, I just hang out here for camaraderie

I'd rather use reference planes, but our BIM manager prefers Face hosted elements, almost everything we have is like that.
