Good parameter for simple weight?
« on: July 19, 2016, 08:37:44 PM »
I found parameters for lbm and lbf but not for simple lb. would this best be covered by a text parameter or is there a simple weight parameter that I am just missing.

The version I am working in is 2016 Revit MEP.

Thanks!

Here's something interesting. Even when I set the units from lbf to lb, it is still reading all input as lbf. For instance, with my units set to lb, I put in an lb value... and it instantly converts it to lbf in the family. If i have it pulling from a lookup table, it takes that Weight##weight##lb entry and assumes lbf. What was a .4 lb value in the lookup table, it reads as .4 lbf and converts it to .03 lb.

I changed it under the Manage ribbon. Changed the Struc->Weight from LBF to LB.

Where exactly would I type UN? This one is a bit new to me. First time I am stretching my legs beyond the basic dimensions of an object.

Figured it out. Was too deep in the family to even think about getting out of it. Got is squared. Thanks a million!

I lied. It is still trying to force it to lbf despite my units being set to lb. What I thought you were getting I was apparently wrong about.

Attached is the cap I am working on where this is being an issue.
