problem with text display
« on: November 30, 2015, 05:14:49 AM »
Hi,

Please go through attached screenshot and dwg file.. Text in the tag bubble are attributed texts. These texts are appeared as offset from its original position. but on other PC it looks on its original position (where it should be). If I edit text it moves back on its original position. I dont know cause of this. Have anybody face this issue earlier ? I tried with same resolution on both PC's. Please help. We are using Acad2010.

thanks in Advance

Where did you get that font? I don't have it in 2016.

What do you mean by "tag bubble"? The reverse clouds or the circles?

Do these blocks have the correct textstyle and font properties?
If so, what happens when you run the "ATTSYNC" command and update all the blocks?

ATTSYNC does have a slight effect.

I didn't check the drawing before..
I actually have the font the block "LOCAL TAG" is using, and ATTSYNC did fix them all.

Thanks guys for your quick replies.

It happens with simple text also. I think this problem is with some graphical interface. Please find attached image and CAD drawing.
UNDO command do not have any effect on texts.  :tickedoff: Tried almost all text  :idiot2:variables

THANKS

I see you haven't fixed the blocks yet.

I think you are right with this one being a graphics issue. I wouldn't use single line text in this case. MText with middle center justification is much better suited for centering this text in the box.

Thanks Rob...

I did not updated blocks. I do have bunch drawings and not single drawing has MText.  :oops:These drawings has either attributed text or simple text. still looking for solution. Does ACad have display/graphic variables ?  :idiot2:

Solution for what?

The blocks with the attributes needs to have ATTSYNC applied to them so that they display the current block definition.

The display issue probably just needs a quick regen before editting. Hardware acceleration settings might help with this, it might not.

Again, MText is a better option. I'd use it instead for the example you provided.
