Grip Edit Problems
« on: November 04, 2015, 04:00:24 AM »
Hello,

I am having trouble with grip editing on some, but not all drawings and I do not know why.

I get something like this when grip editing:

** STRETCH **
Specify stretch point or [Base point/Copy/Undo/eXit]:
Command: _select
1 found
Command: !previousSelection
<Selection set: 34ca>

Once edited I the selection of the object does not hold and get the above in the command line.

Any ideas?

Many thanks in advance, Robbo.

When I audit the drawing I get:

Fix any errors detected? [Yes/No] <N>: y
Auditing Header
Auditing Tables
Auditing Entities Pass 1
Pass 1 1200    objects auditedAcDbMText(608C)      XData Handle Unknown               Null
AcDbPolyline(6091)   XData Handle Unknown               Null
Pass 1 1400    objects audited
Auditing Entities Pass 2
Pass 2 1400    objects audited
Auditing Blocks
 1274    Blocks audited
Auditing AcDsRecords
Total errors found 2 fixed 2
Erased 0 objects

Grip Edit then works as expected, until such a time it breaks again.

An intermittent problem can be hard to diagnose. You need to be fully aware of what you were doing when the problem comes up again. Next time it happens note what you were doing and try to recreate the error. In the mean time, post a problematic file.
