Converting Polyline Segment to Curve
« on: October 05, 2015, 08:48:03 AM »
Just curious here, is there a faster way to convert a polyline segment to a curve?

I don't know what peoples workflow for that is, but I usually click the polyline segment; Click on the Middle vertex and wait a second or two for the popup to show up; click  Convert to Arc; then use the nearest command and boom.

Again just asking around.

That is my workflow as well. Although I don't click the middle, I just hover over it. Then I don't "wait a second or two", as the context menu displays immediately. Before this grip edit function was available I used a small lisp I wrote that would add a Bulge factor of 0.25 to selected segments, which I would then go back and edit using the 'near osnap...so very similar steps for as far back as I can recall.

You can't fillet a single segment.

Lee I think you nailed it, specially when you add that to a right click mouse menu popup. ALOT faster. Thanks guys for the brainstorming!
