Possible to show pressure pipe lengths to structures?

Possible to show pressure pipe length to the center of a bend/deflection, rather than just for the pipe itself?

Yes, but it would be wrong...technically....

and tedious....

I think if you merely 'disconnect' from part(s) then you get true pipe length.

Otherwise you would want to add nominal part dimension as expression to pipe lengths @ both ends.
And we know that distance is not a constant depending on fitting at each end.

Depends on what is considered wrong :)

Estimates per standard practice have always been from center of fitting / structure to center of fitting / structure.  LF always measured the total length of pipe from the start, to the end based on stationing. IMO civil 3d is listing the wrong lengths as the total don't won't match the stationing.

Technically though... you are correct, but in 20 years I've not seen a quantity excluded footage for every fitting.

Disconnecting the part might work. Trying to find a feasible way to use pressure pipe for water design in urban areas.

Mind letting me know what you're having your clients do MJ?

that would depend on what they are after...pipe lengths Center to Center or Pipe Lengths to Fitting..and big AND did they create part catalog with actual pipe
manufacturer dimensions? Or will they use OTB part catalog?

IF they want center to center...then when create pipe network 'draw' pipes only' no bends (fittings) would be added later as graphical elements. Or part of another network so that they do not connect and mess with lengths.  OTB

If you make your own fittings, you can mess with connection point offset data and basically have in NOT hack off the end of the pipe it is connected to.
