Aligning two objects with one along its X-axis
« on: July 29, 2015, 04:52:25 PM »
Hi,

In model space of AutoCAD Mechanical 2015, I have two objects in space that will eventually become the outline of a laser cut 3D plate. Both objects have been drawn to suit/match two other objects. Now I want to align them by moving a circular object along its X-axis to completely align with a rectangular object.

So the question I am asking is this, is there any easy/quick way to align an object (with another entity) moving along an X, Y or Z axis?

Refer to screenshot for clarification.

Any help appreciated.

Stefan

Select the circles. In the properties dialog, type 0.0 in Center X box and press enter.
Or, if you set the UCS on rectangle's plane, you will need to change Center Z instead.
