Command Line Switch Reference: "/c"

The Command Line Switch Reference "/c" ....
Quote from: Online Help
specifies the folder location of the configuration file. If ...
That's all the same for Acad 2014 - 2016, but in 2016 it is described as "obsolete".

If it's obsolete, then why is it described?
Or what exactly is obsolete?

Thanks
Peter

For software development it is a good habit to not delete obsolete functions, but mark them as obsolete or deprecated. People who use these functions can change their software or configurations without being confronted with errors.

Mostly obsolete functions will be deleted in time.
The conclusion is justified that the initialization of the development of critical subsystem optimizes the probability of success to the development of the technical behavior over a given period.

Thanks for the explanation.

But nevertheless - not important, just curious - I would like to know if 2016 uses this switch.

BTW: The start icons uses switches which are not documented in "Command Line Switch Reference": /product and /language  :-o

The documentation is not always up to date :-)...
Yes - that's the bitter bill: the info is spreaded more and more (local help, online help, knowledge base, blogs, ...)  :tickedoff:

Thanks for your help, huiz.
