Layergroups to PDF
« on: August 19, 2015, 01:06:20 PM »
in my drawing i have a lot of Layers. For better Overview i grouped them by using Layergroups. Now i can easy turn all the Layers in an Group on or of, without selecting each Layer.
The soloution now is to get these Groups into an PDF, which is made by plotting the dwg to an pdf.
Did somebody have an idea, how to solve this? Does somebody knows an pdf driver which can stand this?
Any Ideas are welcome.

Thanks

Are you talking about "Layer States"?

Nah, I think he means layer filter groups and passing the group information to PDF. Through standard DWG to PDF (2016) this isn't possible, might be possible in BB

I know PDFs have layer controls, but do they even have a concept of layer groups?

   finally

I can definitely see where that would be useful, but I don't know of a driver either.

I store LayerStates in a Drawing "database" then use ObjectDBX to "read" a Layerstate and compare it to the layers in the current drawing.  Using the drawing as a database is the easiest way to store AutoCAD specific data.
