automaticaly updated lenght in attributes

Here is a big question : it's possible that lenght will updated automatically , not after saving the drawing
here is a dynamic block

Change FIELDEVAL system variable to 31.

fieldval is 31 ,it's a initial value , I tried to modified this value with another , change it back to 31
the same thing it's does not work

If FIELDEVAL equal to 31, you don't have to save dwg to check chanes: try to regen it. I tested your block with AutoCAD 2016 - values changes correctry (REGENMODE = 1).

:) probably I don't explain corectly the final reason :
 After streching the rectangle the lenght it should automaticaly update , without regen or saving drawing , it should work like in this example :

At this file you're using ProjectStudio. File has 69 proxyobjects and 24 regapps you can purge. Open this file at "clear" AutoCAD without any addons like PS, SPDS Graphics etc - and fields will be updated only at regen, save, plot etc (look at FIELDEVAL description).

I think it impossible now, and why don't you use a dimension object without Ext and Dim lines :)

Have you tryed use a dimension lines without "Extension lines" and "Symbols and Arrows"?
