In Data link Table losing prperties after breaks table
« on: May 20, 2015, 10:04:07 AM »
Hi
After linking an excel file to AutoCAD and break the table into 2 rows then close the file and open all format imported from excel such as text height background color.
Thanks

have you set up the table style properties correctly?

and or try importing saved cell ranges into two different tables so you do not need to split the table

As this is a sheet list; why are you not using sheet set manager to generate your sheet list(s)?

Thanks all

All projects we submit LOD as an Excel sheets but this project the clint asked for DWG file.
We are not using Sheet set.

If you are not using the SSM, there isn't really an advantage to using a datalink. By default the datalink is not updated automatically, simply making a table and formatting to your liking and copying into each drawing layout would prove much easier, even easier would be a seperate .dwg and placing an xref of the table into each drawing.
