Who is familiar with the viewbase command?
I am trying to align my views to a local UCS setting. Is this posible?

FWIW -

I prefer to use DVIEW Command instead, to 'twist' my view, and remain in WCS.

I personally like VIEWBASE more then DVIEW. Figured out how to set UCS in a good way.
First you set your modelspace in the desired view direction and UCS. After then use VIEWBASE <ENTER> <ORIENTATION> <CURRENT!>

I guess this explains my preference of DVIEW:

Command: VIEWBASE
Unknown command "VIEWBASE".  Press F1 for help.

Aha. I had that same problem. I remember now
And was also wondering why on earth autodesk This dont ship in their civil suites.
Try the vanilla autocad Version. Maybe ask them fot their marketing strategy for This particular technology. They definitely don't want AutoCAD to become to much functionality that might look like son revit fun too..
