Connect to MDB - Civil 3D 2014
« on: March 19, 2015, 03:59:22 PM »
I'm trying to connect to an MDB file and I'm not quite sure where to begin. I've read posts about ESRI MDB files. I'm not sure if that's what I have or if it's formatted differently. I've tried following this link but when I click ADD my only option is for SQL server. I don't see anything for MDB. HELP!!!

where is that MDB file located?

Is it on the Server?

Or is it local?

It's local. Or I could put it on a network drive. Whichever is easiest.

see attached

you most likely want to use option one....

unless it on a server....in which case you will want to use dataconnect through Map Taskpane <MAPWSPACE>

and you will need log-in credentials...and other particulars of the data store

What do you mean "option 1"? User DSN?

When I click ADD this is what I get. I don't have an option for MDB although it shows on the first tab.

Do you know if the driver(s) are located in the install MSI? Or is this strictly a Windows thang?
