(C3D 2015) Line weights in Alignment Styles
« on: March 05, 2015, 09:14:45 AM »
How do I get the lineweights to display on my 'tick'? I'm using a standard Line in my tick block with no lineweights set. What the heck am i missing here!

thanks

do you have line weight display enabled?

and or

Display Plot Styles?

AND

is your plot style set to use OBJECT Line weight?

actually the culprit

aectickline (it's a block)

One would probably be happier drawing a line element in the label style instead...

the tick is a block i created. I'll look into drawing a line element in the label style.

then it is the SAME problem only you can't blame autodesk for it   :grinwink:

you would then want to set the lineweight in the block - if you insist on using that block

No workie on the line element. You can't anchor the station correctly.

I suppose so! But I need different lineweights for major and minor stations.

I use a line element over a block...as there is a much smaller chance ANYONE will ever change that line....

whereas the block could potentially be edited...much easier by some hack accidentally

I can see your point. Once you know how to configure the damn thing it works pretty well.

thanks!

is your bike lane symbol part of the label set   or is it part of the corridor code set?

one could include it as a code set item...and let the corridor position them for you, instead of manual placement
other pavement markings as well
null assembly of sorts...that only inserts the symbol at desired interval...

just a tip
