Hi Andrea,

That looks really good.

Have you thought about adding fabrication information to the ductwork?  i.e.  cutlengths on duct, flange information, etc?

Hi Andrea,

This is looking very very good!
I am surprised by the ideas you have (like the "i" toggle for isoliation).
The idea of a dockable form is great, I find it better than modal / modeless forms.

I will certainly check it out!
And from what I know from your other tools, I think we have seen nothing yet.

Thanks.

Hi Keith.

thank you...

I've few idea of concept, such as clash detection made in 2D, duct pieces to make FAB, Tag ID insertion of each piece,
Uniline design, duct reiforcement as per custom standard, CFM calculating, etc...
but for now, I'm only making this Tools for engineering drafters who need to standardize their drawing and be more productive by making double line ductwork with Elbows, turning vanes, tapers, offsets etc....all this without creating and switching layers, making text, linetypes etc..who is a valuable waste of time.
All options can be personalized to allow more flexibility.

I'll include similar function as
DUCTATTACH
and
DUCTCONNECT
and
TAPER

I'll take your note of adding Joint type of ductwork by standard type. this is a good Idea  thank you.

:)

Very great idea
It is able to add duct size? for example WxH.
And for fabrication, What about extracting parts data in excep sheet?

Hi HasanCAD,

SDUCT already have TEXT dimension for Ductwork.  :lmao:
I've added quantity duct length for each ductwork dimension included and quantity component
linked to a CSV file allowing approx estimation of project.  :-D
but no tag of peace since now because the objective is to standardize the double line ductwork desing first and help drafter to be more efficient.

Hi Andrea,

Well done!!

Is there any chance to put air flow rate formula in the code, so that one can see the difference in using different shapes and joints? No doubt, input flow rate will need to be assumed but the outlet rate could be calculated.

Cheers.

Hi all,..

I'm trying to make dynamic offsets..for SDUCT.
it seem to work,..but I would like to know if maybe some of you know the good way to draw this kind of offset..
I mean,..what is the curve calculation of this. at the moment I use vl-offset function for easier way.

thank you.
