Purging text styles
« on: February 24, 2015, 08:26:38 AM »
I have 2 text styles in a dwg that i want to purge but it will not let me, it says "style still in use" and can not purge it. I have looked throughout the dwg but can not find the styles in use anywhere! Not even blocks. Anyone know how to find and get rid of these things?

thanks

Can you post a file that you cannot purge them from?

Did you check dimension styles?

mleaderstyle, tablestyle, dimstyle are the usual culprits.

they might be in attribute definitions within a block

OR

IF

this is a C3D file they are set within a feature setting, or a command setting

With the tool MgdDbg you can snoop the Database to see which objects are linked to the Text style.

Glad you found it.
Another good place for them to hide is in empty text strings.
