Panning two view ports (at the same time)
« on: February 05, 2015, 03:59:42 PM »
I am playing around with plan and profiles. I have 2 viewports that are horizontally. I have the plan view up top and the profile view below. I am looking for away that as I pan in the profile view, that they plan view follows or in my case here. Maybe it can follow the alignment. But as I follow the plan view, the profile view would follow. Or I am missing something?

are you not using sheet tools to set up your plan and profile pages???

otherwise why are you panning your plans and profiles around?    :whistling:

You nailed it... Did not use that. They were already made by someone else here. I am updated crossings and stuff.

if you know how far you moved the profile.....

then one could use pan
followed by
'so
to pan the plan views to the exact station....

why you updating crossings instead of using 'pipes' to draw the utilities that cross your alignment?

even Fibre Optic lines are just pipes...they carry data not water....

because they use 2D Line work on most other utilities accept for storm, water and sanitary. (this does exclude the laterals for all.)

they should STOP that...how can one really design around a 3d world with 2d data?

it makes figuring out crossings easy
