Topic: Add editable text component to alignment label style (not override)

Does anyone know how to add editable text to a label style without doing an override?  I would like to be able to add a description to my elevation label component similar to the "EG" in the vertical label without having to create multiple styles for every description, and without having to do a label text override.

good luck on that....
as you have by now discovered...even IF you attempt to embed an attribute within the label style
once it inside the label wrapper....it ceases to function as a normal attribute


however....you could work back to front...

USE a POINT LABLE for these instead you can set it to prompt you for descriptions!

Side bonus....they can then also be exported and or placed in tables for construction staking purposes.

Around here I've convinced the users that points are smarter to use than labels for that vary reason.

I still wish DBText, MText, and MLeaders (with ContentType.MTextContent) supported C3D Expressions as they do Fields currently.
