In Navisworks I see a category for REVIT TYPE and a property for PIPE DIAMETER but when I try to find all pipes greater than 2" in diameter Navisworks doesn't find anything and I know there for certain there are LOTS of pipes that meet this requirement. Is there a setting I should check in the Export options in Revit or something in the Navisworks options??

I have the same problem with other non-Revit sources, in that the pipe size is presented as a text value rather than a number.  Could that be the problem?
If you are going to fly by the seat of your pants, expect friction burns.

try {GreatPower;}
   catch (notResponsible)
      {NextTime(PlanAhead);}
   finally
      {MasterBasics;}

from my experience the better one knows the data being search, the better the results....that my seem obvious, but it wasn't to me at first

some suggest selecting and element of type, and looking at the properties reported to construct search criteria

Would anyone who ACTUALLY USES Navisworks care to chime in?   :roll:

Have you tried turning it off and back on again?

so I select an item from REVIT model

using selection inspector I get that object properties....

then I can search for items with those properties

As the model I used is 'unknown' to me  I must use this method

I see that you are searching Selected Paths Only.  Did you try searching Below Selected Paths?  Or using the Default?

It's not a mm/inch problem, is it?

Navisworks won't give you a > sign for a condition if it's not a numeric field. So that's not it.
