Dynamic Blocks with a Vertical Exaggeration
« on: December 05, 2014, 08:25:26 AM »
I was playing around with a block on a profile the other day. I noticed that when I give the dynamic block a Y-Scale of (10x) I loose its dynamics, but if I bring the Y-Scale back to (1x) it retains the dynamics... Really weird... Any ideas why?

I've seen that too .. but can't explain why it happens.

Maybe I make a new dynamic block with the original one scaled in, apply the exaggeration and then add the dynamics? (Just to basically flip it)

suggest just use vertical stretch...and use the vertical scale multiplier of the profile for your stretch value

Don't know why, but if you don't scale the block uniformly you cannot access any dynamic features.  They can be negative and still work, but all must be equal otherwise.

When in the dynamic block editor I always set scale uniformly to yes so that if I do have to scale something the other axis follow. but yeah, if you want to change the height, use a stretch.
