Point Elevations Labels displaying incorrectly.
« on: November 27, 2014, 03:31:49 PM »
Alright... I have no idea with this one but maybe one of you guys do.

So I am importing a point list from a text file into Civil 3D.  Units are in meters, the point list is fine and has no errors, everything is correct horizontally ( in the right position), and all point labels are in meters.  SO the problem is my point labels (all of my styles)  are showing elevations of 29-35  and my point list elevations are from 109-115.  Whats going on here?

HELP!

Please.

Can you post the drawing and text files?

The Drawing's settings are set to feet, change it to Meters and all is well:

You should consider using the Metric template if you want to work in Meters by default.

mjfarrell,

I export from topcon 3d-office and it defaults to imperial.

Perhaps copy/place the Metric template in place of that Imperial one.

Be careful switching units on a file with data. A label style might be defined to label elevations in a particular unit. We ended up with either contour labels or some other point label that was listing elevations in the wrong units.
