Linkinig blocks to each other
« on: September 10, 2014, 04:50:21 AM »
Hi,

I'm trying to link line numbers and valve tags on legacy P&ID's.  there are 100's of them.

I have a line number tag.  Its an attributed block, called linetag.  one attribute in block is the line number itself say 123456.  There is a valve on this line.  I have a seperate  valve tag (also an attribute block) adjacent to this symbol.  It too has an attribute called linenumber say 123456.  Is it possible to link the attbtributes so that updating the line number on the line number tag will automatically push through to the valve tag.  Keep in mind there would be 10 - 20 of these valve tags on a line. and many lines across many drawings.

Any help or hints would be greatly appreciated.

Regards

one could use a field and have the field get it's value from a select block....still a lot of picking to make this happen....
