Xref Path Type

Hello to all,

I'd like to ask if there is any system variable, env variable, registry entry, etc... that controls the default xref path type in the AutoCAD 2014 / C3D 2014?   There used to be a pathtype in the registry but i'm unable to find it.

Thank you for your reply but i am looking for path type and not overlay vs attacment. 

I am looking for the one that points to absolute, relative and no path.
