Grip Box and OSnaps
« on: August 28, 2014, 08:25:19 AM »
Is it possible to use a grip box and the osnap together but; not have it snap to an elevation but just the XY point?
Just a question I had hanging around. It gets annoying sometimes when you drag something and then click the intersection of something with a Z when you do not want it to have that z coordinate.

Thanks

And of course, the dot filters.  entering .xy when promoted for a point returns the X & Y values and prompts for a Z.  You can enter a new value, e.g. 0 if that's what you want.

Also .x , .y, and .z only take their value and prompt for the remainder.  Mix em up as required.
