Autocad terribly slow on commandline and objects
« on: July 04, 2014, 04:57:46 AM »
I have a problem with autocad nowadays, not only me, my collegues also.
I get a little bit of frustrated to (understatement)  see autocad applications in general getting slower on computer that potentiolly would make faster!
The installation is terrible slow when it comes toentering (new) commands and adjusting hatches and other objects.
The only thing that really works is by turing to 'demand load object arx'.

A suggestions to fix a problem with autodesk developments making my daily routine work slower ?
Design is something you should do with both hands. My 2d hand , my 3d hand ..

Not quite sure I follow where the problem is.   :?

Auto-complete getting in the way?  Demand-loading turned off so functions aren't loading as they are called?  Or...?
If you are going to fly by the seat of your pants, expect friction burns.

try {GreatPower;}
   catch (notResponsible)
      {NextTime(PlanAhead);}
   finally
      {MasterBasics;}

That may not be good advice.
The problem is with several computers.
If you can eliminate drawing issues from the equation the issue may be with your configuration ( if common) or with particular software(if common)
Frankly there is insufficient information available from the original post to guess in a more focused direction.

It sounds like the problem from your server.
I have had such experience and at those times we found that a server restart would be the solution.
BTW, At your end you may give a try by pulling out your PC network cable then check if your AutoCAD would be speeding up.
